Great collar/idea, horrid company! It worked great for about three weeks. Then, suddenly, it doesn’t shock my dog when she barks. Then it won’t even turn on. So, I contact the company, and they won’t warranty a replacement for me, because I don’t have all the original packing. After a couple weeks of using it and it working great, I figured I didn’t need it anymore, big mistake that was! Now I’m screwed out of my money, and can’t afford to buy another, so I have no way of controlling my barking dog when I’m gone, and boy are the neighbors upset! Buy from another company!

The unit keeps shocking my dog even when she is not barking. It happened 4 times in the first 6 hours that she wore the device. Would not recommend nor do I wish to keep trying to work with this product. Going back to a standard shock collar with remote control rather than bark activated collar.

This is a great collar for preventing barking, however the on/off/level switch is very poorly designed. It is impossible to tell when the collar is off, and most of the time I have to turn it back on just to make sure that I turned it off. So then I have to turn it off again. The correction levels work the same way, by responding to varied lengths of time of pushing one button. I have no idea what level of stimulation my dog is receiving at any point in time. Otherwise, it is small and lightweight and very effective.

i own a great pyrenees and it is hard to find a bark collar that really works! on high the dog showed response to the collar. my main issues with the collar is in order for it to stay in place you have to basically chock the dog. it kept slipping to the side of his neck and he could bark threw it. i used the one finger fits under the collar rule, and the dog panted extremely due to the collar being too tight. the third day of wearing the collar the operational box fell off the collar!!!!!! leaving the collar and the prongs and that was it. the glue used to hold the box in is a sillicone base and is not sturdy at all. of course my other dog found the box before i was aware it was missing and chewed it up! and the warrenty dose not cover damage due by dog, so three days later i have no collar and a barking dog again!!

We tried other methods first, including a citronella spray collar, but our insecure mini schnauzer’s uncontrollable hysterical barking at other dogs, pedestrians, delivery people down the block, bicyclists passing the house or the car, people in other cars stopped at lights, and for no reason at all was driving us crazy. In desperation, and after reading the many positive reviews, I ordered the PetSafe Bark Control Collar. After just a couple of wearings, the overtime barking was eliminated. It doesn’t zing the dog until the 6th bark. Our schnauzer is very bright; she learned so quickly that now all I have to do is show her the collar or ask her if she needs “her collar”, and she stops barking immediately. The quiet yard, quiet house, and quiet car make this collar a must-have for us. Yes, I was reluctant about possibly hurting my dog, but I tried the zap myself, and while unpleasant, it was quick and mild. If we have workers or guests coming to the house, or the dog is in the car with us, we put the collar on routinely, as insurance against out-of-control barking. She can still give a few warning barks, which is normal for a schnauzer protecting her turf, but we no longer have to waste our breath scolding her for non-stop barking. The PetSafe Bark Control Collar has made life better for her and much more peaceful for us. Highly recommended,
