I have been using the product for about 3 or 4 days, installed above the fenceline (6 ft. high) by about 2 feet, which gives it an unobstructed viewpoint to my neighbors barking daschunds, and only about 2 ft. in from the fenceline. So far I am more than pleasantly surprised at how this has really reduced my neighbors 2 dogs’s annoyance barking. They still bark from time to time, when provoked, my dog being outside against the fence or me being out in the backyard. But as far as them barking for hours straight for no apparent reason, the results have been great at stopping that.

The complex requirement of setting three levels of timer

when a simple toggle switch would have been better and faster

    is bewildering.

It stopped un-needed barking right away… If you want your dogs to stop barking all the time I recommend this product. On top of that they will still bark at things they should bark are to allert you to danger or people at the door etc. It worked on both of my little poodles… Now I can relax :)

Although I don’t doubt that the product works to quiet dogs, the design is extremely feeble and it is difficult to use. I agree with other users on the fact that an ON/OFF switch added to the timer would be a much smarter approach to using the product. Although it is possible to find tricks to turn on the product (for example, setting the timer ON a couple of minutes after the current real time) it would be much easier to simply have a switch. As far as the barking goes, the dogs next door are indeed quieter since I started using the product. However, they still bark a little bit. I think a newer generation of this device, with a better, stronger design; an ON/OFF switch; a real weather-proof digital display (I have used the product for less than three weeks and the display is already a bit fuzzy!); as well as better ultrasonic speakers (to really quiet dogs down!) would greatly improve what today I see as a SOMEWHAT MEDIOCRE PRODUCT.

Reading through the reviews, I see that most that had good results with this or other ultrasonic products were using them on their own dogs. That means there was better proximity and control involved.

I have two local dog problems: 1) the “Woofer”, a medium large lab mix two yards away whose owner leaves alone a lot and it results in the lonely dog, sad, attention bark in a Woof Woof woof wooof wooooof ending in a whine. The second is the “yipper”, a smallish mop looking thing, next door, with a shrill bark. The yipper’s owners come home late at night and let him into the yard at which time he sounds off at everything and anything.

I deployed the “Super Bark Free Pro” with the cord at the side of my house facing both offenders. The Woofer immediately reduced the amount and frequency of barking, then later moved to the other side of the house, where presumably the microphone would no longer register. I can still hear the woofs, just not quite as loud. They are still loud enough to keep me awake but not so loud that they awaken me. I have tried telling the neighbor but they, like most irresponsible dog owners seem to revel in the power they hold to annoy in equal measure to the level of isolation they inflict on the dog.

The yipper has a much more annoying bark, but as the neighbors are new, the incidence of barking much less, and since ultimately they do let the dog in and things go back to quiet, I prefer to live and let live. How many enemies does one need in their immediate vicinity? The yipper also shifted the activity to the other side of the house but more recently has changed the behavior that it first comes out and barks at the device for a while before retreating to where it is more comfortable.

Those that say these products do nothing were either expecting too much or failed to accurately note subtle changes in behavior. Those that say that they have been delivered by them are either shills for the manufacturer or have very controlled environments where the use can be optimized. I would have given the product three stars due to the fact that there is some measurable behavior modification if it weren’t for the demonstrated contempt for their customers shown in the form of the two fake speakers. How does a company explain that and keep a customer relationship?
