    Although I hated to do it to him, this collar worked wonders. I recently moved into a small apartment and every time I would leave for work my dog’s barking would cause disturbances and draw complants from my landloard. The collar shocked him one time and thats all it took. He now no longer barks when I leave, collar or no collar. The only complaint I have is that there is no on/off switch and you have to remove the battery every time you remove the collar in order not to drain it. Other than that, great product.

    Our dog has a huge voice and loves to use it. We held off on a collar like this for as long as possible, but it just got to be too much for my sanity. We decided to give this one a try because it seemed to have the best reviews for the price. I am giving it four stars, because every now and then it doesn’t seem to work. That being said… It works nine out of ten times, which seems to do the trick. Maggie got the message from the get go. The only time she barks now is to test the collar and those are small little woofs, just to see if its still working. Every once in a while, it seems to stop working and then she gets in a few extras, but we go out take the collar off, test it, put it back on and it starts working again, so overall we are very happy. She has gotten the message so loud and clear, now all we have to do (most of the time), when she barks, is to show her the collar and she stops. This is from a dog that would stop no matter how much you yelled or (embarrassed to say) chased her around the yard with a big stick at 11:00 pm. We didn’t like the idea, at first, but it has actually taught Maggie some self control and given me some much needed peace and quiet.

    I have been suffering from my GSD 4 months old barking when she is crated, especially when she could see me sitting in front of her, so i ordered this collar and just recieved it yesterday, i put it on her and as soon as she sarted barking she yelped, she did it twice and she immediately got the idea, so i did not hear her barking for the rest of the day, today too, once i got back from work she started to bark so i put the collar on and again she tried to bark once and yelped and since then i am sitting here right now in front of her without having that annoying barking … i love this product

    I bought this collar for my little girl Chihuahua who goes yap-happy when a leaf falls. I decided I did not want to use it, only to learn that Amazon will not allow you to return this item. It is the first time I have been completely disappointed with Amazon. The box had never been opened, and Amazon will not even discuss the option of return with me. I only get a message saying it is un-returnable. If I had been told that before I bought it, I would never have wasted the money.

    This item is cruel! I put on my rat terrier. When he let out his first bark he leapt 2 feet backwards and yelped louder than he ever has. We haven’t used it since. Do not recommend this for small dogs with little fur.
