    Do not buy this collar for small dogs! This bark collar may work for medium dogs but does not work for my 5 pound Chihuahua and it is way too heavy for her to wear it around her neck. I had hope that it would reduce her barking, but the collar is not triggered by her bark. If your dog is very small like mine, do not buy this bark collar! It will not work!

    We have a Jack Russell Terrier and she likes to bark when we are gone. Citronella collars did not work. After few days of this on the lowest shock stetting she has stopped. Now we just leave on vibrate only. If you have a stubborn dog who won’t stop barking this might the thing for you.

    I don’t usually take the time to write reviews but must admit reading all of the reviews were very helpful in purchasing this collar. We have a 7lb Yorkie who is 2 yrs old and during the night started urinating on the floor, even after we took her out several time each night. So we started to kennel her. This worked for about a week, with wake up barks at 6am, until letting her out. Then wake up barks started to get earlier and earlier. For the last 2 weeks have been consistent at 3am. We had no option but to get a collar. Your review about the rechargeable collar were exactly what we needed in our decision process. I must admit I was concerned with the 10lb starting weight for a dog on this collar. However the collar is only 4oz and I put the collar on the 5th hole 2 correction. I can place my finger between her neck and the shocking tip. The first night she barked 2 times. The second and third night only once which she will only receive a warning not a shock. If she can even feel anything being that far from her skin. Anyway, barking problem solved, we get nonstop sleep for the first time in 7 months thank God. Our Yorkie is not hurt in the process.     Bought this for our dog who seems to have increased her barking over the years. So far so good, we have had it only a few weeks use it a couple hours a day and it works. We have not had to go past the 2nd level so far. Once the collar goes on the barking stops immediately! Our dog is slender (she is 9lbs and long neck) so my only complaint is that I wish the collar and box could be smaller. The collar is easy to fix just cut off the extra length but the box is to deal with. Small price to pay for some peace and quiet.

    I had previously purchased a Petsafe nano collar but it didn’t work for me at all so I took a leap of faith and decided to try another collar. Even though this collar is a quite a bit bulkier than the Petsafe collar, it still fits my 11 lb. havanese but if my dog’s neck was a little smaller, it probably wouldn’t fit. The collar is at the shortest length for him. I doubt that this collar would fit very small dogs because the collar itself doesn’t get short enough so keep that in mind. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this collar because it works well and is very consistent. Another great feature is the charger that’s included. For many other collars you would have to buy new batteries so the rechargeable battery on this collar is particularly convenient. If you have an incessant barker, this collar is your solution!
