    I bought the bed hoping that one of my two cats would like it. My 15 year old Siamese was completely not interested, so I moved it into the kitchen, where my slightly wild, young Calico likes to hang out. She spent a month sniffing around it, and every once in a while I would put her in it, but eventually she started spending time inside and now it’s her favorite place to relax. She either hangs her head or her paws out the front.

    The bed is quite plush, very nicely made and the removable, washable pillow is a nice touch.

    As other reviewers mentioned, the large size would fit a small dog comfortably.

    I actually purchased this for my 17 pound Cavalier since he likes to snuggle on my bed. I figured it just might keep him off my pillow and keep the fun in the dog bed. After seeing other reviews that they used this for their dog I thought this would be perfect.

    However, he just didn’t fit! When he tried to crawl in, it would collapse around him. Over the past few months I would relocate it throughout the house trying to entice my 4 cats into it. They occasionally crawled in but not on a regular basis.

    That was UNTIL I put it on top of the dog kennel one day while I was vacuuming. My tiny 6 pound calico promptly jumped in and made it her “second floor apt” with her buddy pup under her in his kennel where I put him when I leave the house!! So cute!

    This bed is very soft with a nice “pillow” insert. The dome holds up well with the cats – my 4 dates range from 6 to 15 pounds.

    So far there have been a couple tussles between our two cats over who gets to claim the bed for a couple hours. Both my smaller cat ~6 lbs and the larger cat ~8-9 lbs each fit with no problems — individually. They both love to peek out and observe what’s going on in the rest of the room.

    This is a very soft plush pet bed. My kitties love it. I had to get another so they would both have their own. It is a great roomy size. It gives them a nice quiet place to take a nap. It is also washable.

    Bought this for our new kitten. The inside is so incredibly warm and soft that I wish I could crawl in there! The kitten doesn’t sleep in there – he chooses to sleep curled up next to our black lab, but hey, someday he might make me glad that I shelled out some big bucks for the bed!

    I gave it 4 stars only because the top tends to fall down in, which I think a cat would prefer so they’re all snuggled in and private, but my aesthetics like the looks of it as pictured here – all open and cute. For the first few days, the kitten did crawl up on the top (because it was all smushed down) and rest there.

    It’s made of good quality materials, also will no weird smell right out of the box, which I like. : )
